Paige
Settle is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who works
with adolescents, adults, and families. Paige works with individuals
who may be struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns,
self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and stress
management. Paige received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at
West Virginia University and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling at Barry University in Miami, Florida. While
working towards her Master’s degree, Paige worked as a counselor
for a youth development program and conducted psychoeducation groups
with students in grades 6-12 in Miami, Florida. In her internship,
Paige provided group counseling services to adults diagnosed with
substance use disorder. She also gained experience in her internship
by providing individual mental health services to adolescent and
adult clients.
Paige has experience working with adolescents and adults diagnosed with eating disorders in the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care. Paige also conducted family sessions with clients’ families and would facilitate group therapy amongst the clients. Through this experience, Paige was able to assist clients in improving their body image, self-esteem, and relationships with their support systems.
Paige utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist clients in challenging their maladaptive thoughts. She comes from a strength-based approach and believes everyone is capable of overcoming challenging times. Paige provides unconditional support for her clients and challenges them to step outside of their comfort zones. She hopes to help others by creating a space of empathy and acceptance that will assist them in their journey.
