Brooke Fitzgerald, Ph.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Virginia with experience in delivering comprehensive psychological services. She earned her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from James Madison University in 2017, her M.S. in Applied Psychology from Walden University in 2020, and her A.S. in Deaf Studies from Northern Virginia Community College in 2020. In 2023, she completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensics from Walden University, which included a practicum and internship at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia. Following this, she completed her postdoctoral residency at Dulles Psychological Services in 2024. Since entering the field in 2017, Brooke has dedicated herself to supporting individuals through a wide range of therapeutic and support services. 

Her professional experience spans jail re-entry services, jail-based individual and group therapy for mental health and substance use disorders, court-ordered competency restoration, mental health case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, psychological assessments, and both inpatient and outpatient therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Brooke's therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enriched by elements from various evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. She tailors these methods to meet the unique needs of each client, emphasizing the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance to promote growth, exploration, and skill development in a safe, supportive environment. In addition to therapy, Brooke conducts and interprets psychological assessments, such as ADHD evaluations and personality tests, providing comprehensive reports to guide treatment and support.

Brooke works with adolescents and adults to address a range of issues, including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, stress management, mood disorders, and interpersonal and relational problems. She is committed to helping her clients achieve their personal goals and enhance their overall well-being. By fostering a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic environment, Brooke empowers her clients to build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and lead more fulfilling lives.
