Julia Berlin

jill

Julia holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy from the College of William and Mary. While working on her master’s degree, she gained experience at both the youth and family services division of her local community services board and William and Mary’s student-run community family counseling clinic. Julia specializes in working with trauma, LGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families, and has experience working with military families. She is trained in structural family therapy and uses a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to help her clients feel safe and heard throughout the therapeutic process.

Julia believes in empowering individuals, couples, and families to heal through open communication, empathy, and trust. Working through difficult emotions and situations can feel intimidating, and that is why Julia works with each client to create a plan for therapy that addresses their goals while moving at a pace they feel comfortable with. Please contact Julia if you feel she would be a good fit for your needs, and she would be happy to help you start or continue your healing journey!
