Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Teassa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia who works with adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and families. Teassa received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Social Work, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She has previously worked in a substance use treatment center, outpatient community mental health center, and hospital-affiliated cancer center. Teassa currently works as an oncology therapist within a healthcare setting.
Teassa's clinical interests include chronic medical issues and comorbidities, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, existential concerns, trauma, relationship challenges, and stress management. She utilizes attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, internal, and mind-body-focused therapies in her work with clients. Teassa is passionate about the mind-body connection and enjoys engaging clients through mindfulness interventions.
