Teassa currently serves as the Clinical Director and has been with Dulles Psychological Services since 2020. Previously, Teassa worked for Life with Cancer at Inova Schar Cancer Institute and WVU Cancer Institute. She received her B.S. in Psychology in 2013 and M.S. in Social Work in 2015, both from the University of Pittsburgh. Teassa is a Virginia Board of Social Work Approved Supervisor and a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
Teassa specializes in working with adult clients with chronic medical
illnesses and comorbid mental health diagnoses, including cancer. In
addition, Teassa enjoys helping clients with anxiety, depression, grief &
loss, adjustment to life transitions and stressors, relationship
challenges, existential questioning, stress-management, and nervous system
dysregulation. Teassa utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including
Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory,
Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory,
and other mind-body-focused therapies. Teassa works with individuals and
